Terms of use

The service
OrbitNight shows where satellites are, when they pass over you, and related space information. It is free to use, with or without an account, and may show advertising.
Predictions are estimates
Positions, pass times, brightness and re-entry forecasts are calculated from published orbital data and can be wrong: orbits change, data can be late, and re-entry forecasts are uncertain by hours. Use them for observing and learning, never for navigation, safety, or any decision where an error could cause harm.
Data from others
Orbital data comes from Space-Track.org, launch and crew data from The Space Devs (Launch Library 2), radio data from SatNOGS (CC BY-SA 4.0), place names from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), cloud forecasts from MET Norway (CC BY 4.0), and maps from OpenStreetMap contributors. Their terms apply to that data; credits are listed at the bottom of every page.
Acceptable use
- Do not overload the site with automated requests or copy its data in bulk.
- Do not try to break into the site or into other people's accounts.
- You may embed the city widget on your own site and link to any page.

You sign in through Google, Kakao or Naver and can delete your account at any time from the account menu. We may close accounts used to abuse the service.
Liability
The service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate predictions, interruptions or third-party data, except where caused by our intent or gross negligence.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the new version is posted here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
